Shubham Goel

Shubham Goel is a researcher currently associated with Avataar since July 2023. Prior to this role, Shubham served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley from August 2018 to May 2023 and held a position as a Visiting Researcher at Facebook AI from June 2020 to May 2021. Shubham also gained experience as a Summer Research Intern at Technische Universität Darmstadt in 2017, working under Prof. Stefan Roth on the restoration of manifold-valued images, and at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria in 2016. Additionally, Shubham contributed as Web Convener for the Students' Technical Activities Body at IIT Bombay and served as an Academic Resource Person for the International Physics Olympiad 2015 at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE). Shubham holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
