Kartik Gupta

Kartik Gupta is a seasoned researcher in the fields of machine learning and computer vision, currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Seeing Machines since April 2022. Previously, Kartik held positions as a Deep Learning Researcher at Qualcomm and an Applied Scientist at Amazon, along with extensive academic experience as a PhD Student and Academic Tutor at CSIRO's Data61 and The Australian National University. Kartik has contributed to the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision as an Associated PhD Researcher, and has also worked as a Research Engineer at Snap2Insight, focusing on computer vision and deep learning for retail analytics. Earlier experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Continental, specializing in sensor fusion for autonomous driving, and a Visiting Research Student at Technische Universität München under the DAAD scholarship. Kartik holds a PhD from The Australian National University and has completed master's degrees at the Technical University of Munich and the Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi, alongside a bachelor's degree from Uttarakhand Technical University.
