Peter Dorofy has worked in a variety of roles since 2009. From 2009 to 2013, they were a Teacher of Geospatial Technologies and Lab Physics at Burlington County Inst of Tech - Medford. From 2013 to 2015, they were the Director of Science, Technology, and Education at Burlington County Bridge Commission, where they developed and deployed the HoloGLOBE augmented reality to Google Play Store and Apple Store, as well as the USOAR and Lunar Learning Expeditions VR experiences to Palmyra Cove's mobile science lab. From 2015 to 2018, they were a GLOBE Scientist at The GLOBE Program. In 2018, they became an Adjunct Professor of Astronomy at Rowan College at Burlington County, where they initiated interactive activities that furthered understanding and created a positive learning environment. In 2020, they became a Unity Developer at Agora World Inc., where they developed the Unity app across multiple platforms and built immersive virtual experiences that engage members in social and educational activities. Most recently, in 2021, they became an Augmented Reality Software Engineer II at Avatar Partners, Inc.
Peter Dorofy has a diverse educational background. Peter obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) in Physical Sciences from Rowan College at Burlington County between 1993 and 1996. Peter then attended The College of New Jersey, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics in 1998. Peter went on to complete a Master of Science (M.S.) in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Rowan University between 2014 and 2017. Peter also holds certifications from Udemy in Multiplayer Virtual Reality (VR) Development With Unity and The Ultimate Guide to Real World Applications with Unity, both obtained in 2021, as well as a Unity Certified Developer certification obtained from Unity Technologies in 2017.
