Aleardo Furlani has extensive work experience, having held various positions in a range of companies since 1987. Aleardo was the Development Administration Programme (DAP) Director at ICU Istituto Cooperazione Universitaria from 1987 to 1990, and a Senior Associate at The Mac Group-GEMINI Consulting from 1990 to 1993. In 1993, they founded and became CEO of INNOVA - Technology Transfer and Valorisation. From 2011 to 2018, they were CEO and President of Externautics S.p.A., during which time it was ranked as the most profitable Italian biotech SME. In 2015, they founded and became Director of Inavya Ventures Ltd., and in 2016 they became Financial Officer and Managing Director of EMSO - European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and water column Observatory. Aleardo has also been a Board Member of Roma Startup since 2016, and since 2019 they have been an Adjunct Professor of Startup Entrepreneurship at Università degli Studi di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale. Most recently, in 2021 they became a Senior advisor to the implementation of the R&S Free zone in the Valle D’Aosta Region A at Regione Autonoma Valle d'Aosta, and they are set to become an Adjunct Professor & Mentor of Tech Transfer XLabs & ZLabs at Luiss Guido Carli University in 2022.

Aleardo Furlani's education history includes a Master of Business Administration from IESE Business School from 1985 to 1987, a Graduate cum Laude in Law from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II from 1978 to 1983, and a Diploma di maturita' from Liceo Umberto I from 1976 to 1977. Additionally, they have obtained two awards, the Premio Guido DORSO from Fondazione Guido DORSO in August 2017 and the Premio "Guido DORSO" in 1983.
