Jose Caravaca

Jose Caravaca has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jose began their career as a Freelance Web Developer and Designer, where they worked on tailoring HTML5 and CSS3 module code for a multi-language front-end and utilized PHP, HTML5, and Adobe Photoshop for project development.

Afterward, Caravaca joined Airbus Defence and Space as a Junior Project Manager, providing support and assistance in IS/IT Operations, with a focus on deployment and test phases. Jose also assisted in responding to large-scale public RFPs.

Caravaca then transitioned to IBM, where they held several roles. As an IT Specialist for IBM Procurement Solutions, they contributed to the initial definition and engineering of procurement solutions, collaborated with Pre-Sales in technical RFP responses, and managed solution implementation and deployment. Jose later became a Consultant for IBM Watson Supply Chain, guiding customers in redefining and enhancing their systems and processes for procurement. Jose also worked as a Senior Consultant, specializing in procurement transformation and consulting IBM customers on best practices and process optimization.

Currently, Caravaca is working at Avature as a Presales Engineer, providing support between services and Sales & Account Managers. Their responsibilities include accompanying sales representatives throughout the sales process and customizing RFIs and RFPs to customers' requirements. Jose also serves as the DACH Lead for senior sales engineering.

Jose Caravaca has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration from Escuela de Organización Industrial, which they obtained from 2013 to 2014. Jose also has an Erasmus Course in Computer Science from Leibniz Universität Hannover, completed in 2010-2011. Jose holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Telecommunication Engineering, specializing in Information Technologies, from Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, completed from 2005 to 2012. Jose Caravaca has additional certifications in IBM Blockchain Essentials, IBM Blockchain Foundation Developer, IBM Design Thinking Practitioner, IBM Cognitive Practitioner, Bluemix Essentials, and Start Deutsch A2 from various institutions, all obtained in 2017.
