In 2002, they became a Technical Solutions Consultant at ACTIVE Network. In 2004, they became a Senior Associate at Landmark Ventures. In 2007, they became a Senior Product Manager at Siegel+Gale. In 2018, they founded Advanced Vapor Devices (AVD) and Avid Holdings (HK) Ltd N/K/A: Alderegroup Ltd. In 2022, they founded AVEO, where they are currently a Founder with the mission to create unique vape devices for cannabis.

J C. attended the University of St. Thomas from 1994 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics.
