Michiel de Kroo

Michiel de Kroo is an experienced advisor specializing in foundation engineering within the Water & Climate business line at Aveco de Bondt since May 2022. In this role, Michiel leads projects and evaluates the current and future performance of building foundations in relation to the subsurface, groundwater levels, and ground subsidence. Prior to this position, Michiel worked as an advisor at Stantec from October 2021 to April 2022, focusing on safety measures and legal procedures for excavation works, as well as conducting exploratory soil, groundwater, and asbestos studies. Michiel's career began as a lifeguard at Stichting Strandexploitatie Veere from May 2014 to October 2020, managing beach operations and coordinating rescue efforts. Michiel holds a Master of Science in Hydrology and a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, along with a VWO Atheneum diploma in Nature, Health & Technology.
