Warren Pittorie

Warren Pittorie, PhD, currently serves as a First Officer at Avelo Airlines since August 2024 and has been actively involved as a Tailwheel & Basic Aerobatic Flight Instructor at Warbird Adventures Inc and as a Senior Flight Instructor at FIT Aviation, LLC since 2020. From August 2019 to May 2024, Warren held the position of Flight Education Chair at the Florida Institute of Technology, managing FAA standardization for on-campus courses and fostering industry partnerships. As an Assistant Professor in the College of Aeronautics, Warren taught FAA-approved Part 141 ground school courses for various pilot certifications. Warren earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Aviation Sciences in 2022 and also holds a Master of Science in Aviation Human Factors and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science with Flight from the Florida Institute of Technology.
