Vaibhav Puranik has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Vaibhav started their career at Opera Solutions, LLC as a Senior Vice President and Principal, where they were involved in payments product development, business development, and industry forums. Vaibhav then co-founded Almond, a banking and credit card startup, where they served as the COO and led various teams, including Product, Risk, Operations, and Customer Service. After Almond was acquired by Cross River Bank, Vaibhav continued their career as the Managing Director of R&D at Cross River Bank. Vaibhav later joined Aspiration.com as the Director of Banking and Credit Products, where they played a key role in building and launching the new Aspiration platform and obtaining a Broker-dealer license for the company. Vaibhav also worked as a Partner and Associate Director at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and as the VP and Head of Financial Products at Carta. In 2021, they became a Founding Fellow in Fintech at On Deck. Most recently, Vaibhav worked at Aven | Credit Card Backed by Home Equity as the Partnerships & Bank Strategy/Fmr Chief of Staff and is currently a Program Coordinator at HAUS (The Homeowners Association of the United States). Additionally, Vaibhav has experience as a Managing Partner at Finverse, where they focused on investing in fintech and tech startups. Vaibhav Puranik completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics & Telecommunications at Shri G. S. Institute of Technology & Science in Indore, MP, India from 1995 to 1999. Following this, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (equivalent to an MBA) with a focus on Marketing, Information Technology, System Analysis & Modeling at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad from 1999 to 2001.
