Roger Bühlmann

Roger Bühlmann has a diverse work experience in the field of IT infrastructure and management. Roger currently holds the position of Head of Infrastructure & Plattform Services at Aveniq, starting in August 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Leiter Informatik (Group CIO) at WALO Bertschinger from May 2019 to April 2023. Roger was also the Leiter IT-Betrieb at BLS AG from May 2015 to April 2019. Before that, they worked as the Head of ICT Infrastructure & Service Delivery at Alpiq from December 2011 to April 2015. Additionally, they served as the Leiter Operation Center at Axpo Group from February 2009 to November 2011, and as the Leiter System Engineering UNIX at UBS Card Center AG from May 2005 to January 2009. Roger'searly career included the role of Leiter Midrange Innovation at SIX Group from November 2000 to May 2005.

Roger Bühlmann has a diverse education history that spans several decades. Roger'sacademic journey began in 1986 when they attended ABB Technikerschule and obtained an Eidg. Dipl. Techniker TS in Informationstechnik in 1989. In 1990, they enrolled at HTL Bern (Software Schule Schweiz) and earned a NDS Softwareengineer degree, specializing in Software Engineering from 1990 to 1992.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills, Bühlmann pursued an Executive MBA in General Management from Private Hochschule Wirtschaft PHW Bern between 2005 and 2007. Building on their expertise in IT, they completed an Executive Diploma in IT-Business Management (DAS) from the University of St.Gallen from 2014 to 2015.

Bühlmann's dedication to professional development continued in 2017 when they undertook several executive programs. Roger attended the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business' Executive Development Center for the Silicon Valley Advanced Management Program. Roger also participated in a "Doing Business in China" program at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. During the same year, they pursued an Executive Master HSG in Business Engineering (Digitale Transformation) from the University of St.Gallen.

In addition to their academic achievements, Bühlmann holds a LeanIX Certified Enterprise Architecture Practitioner certification from LeanIX, which they obtained in March 2022.
