Royal Poulin has extensive work experience in various financial roles. Royal started their career in 1997 as a Financial Analyst at Microcell Telecom, where they worked until 1999. Royal then joined Arthur Andersen & Co. as a Senior Consultant from 1999 to 2001. After that, they worked at SOFTEL Communications Inc. as a Financial Director from 2001 to 2003. Since 2003, Poulin has been with AVENIR GLOBAL, where they held the positions of Executive Vice-President & Chief Financial Officer from 2003 to 2018 and currently serves as the Executive Vice President.
Royal Poulin attended the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management from 2013 to 2015, where they earned a Master of Finance (MFIN) degree. During their time at the university, Poulin focused on corporate finance, accounting, and financing. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2003, they studied at York University, where they obtained a Charter Business Valuator degree with a specialization in business valuation. Poulin's education history also includes a Bachelor of Commerce (B Com) degree in accounting from Université de Sherbrooke, which they completed from 1993 to 1996.
