Katja Hiernickel has a diverse work experience starting from 2014 when they worked at Schaeffler as an Assistant and Administration Clerk. Katja then became an Apprentice Industrial Clerk and worked in various departments such as HR, Cost and Performance Accounting, Sales, and Purchasing. Katja completed their apprenticeship with honors.

In 2020, they participated in a work-study program in Tax-Trade and Customs at KPMG Deutschland. From 2021 to 2021, they worked as an Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship intern at Technologiepark Heidelberg GmbH.

Katja then had a Human Resources Business Partner internship at FIEGE from 2021 to 2022.

In 2022, they worked as a People and Culture Manager Generalist at WLDOHO, where they implemented HR processes, recruited employees, conducted active sourcing, worked on employer branding, managed the company's career website, and assisted in payroll preparation.

Following this, they joined Paul Valentine in 2022 as a People and Culture Manager Talent Attraction. Katja'sresponsibilities included recruiting, active sourcing, employer branding, employee retention, learning and development, and organizing events. However, due to a restructuring following an investor takeover, their employment there ended in 2023.

From 2023 onwards, they are employed as a People and Culture Strategy Manager at avenit AG. Katja'srole involves employee retention and experience, recruiting, learning and development, and employer branding, with the aim of making avenit a unique and heartfelt employer for all team members.

Katja Hiernickel began their education at Ludwig-Erhard-Schule Staatliche Berufsschule II in 2014, where they completed their Ausbildung in Industriekauffrau in 2017. Following this, they attended Berufliche Oberschule Friedrich Fischer Schweinfurt from 2017 to 2019, earning their Allgemeine Hochschulreife und Fachhochschulreife with a focus on the Wirtschaftszweig field. In 2019, Katja enrolled at the University of Mannheim and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Betriebswirtschaftslehre, which they completed in 2021.

Continuing their academic journey, Katja is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a specialization in HR Management in the field of Betriebswirtschaft at SRH Fernhochschule - The Mobile University, beginning in 2021 and expected to finish in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Katja has obtained several certifications.
