Kemi Akeju Chavez has a diverse range of work experience spanning over many years. Kemi was a Board Member with Destination Imagination Colorado starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Director of Marketing at Aventa Credit Union, where they led the marketing team and oversaw various marketing programs and activities. Kemi also worked as a Strategic Marketing Consultant at Auliver Strategy, providing marketing strategy support to small businesses, political campaigns, and nonprofit organizations. At The Leaders Group, Inc., they held various roles including Director of Brand Strategy & Communications, Marketing Communications Manager, and Marketing Specialist. Kemi also served as the Engagement & Operations Director at Starlight Portfolios, leading the research and implementation of a new product line and investment management platform, and as the Marketing and Client Services Manager at NettWorth Financial Group, where they managed marketing and client relationships. Kemi started their career as a Senior Marketing Manager at Transamerica and later launched their own marketing consulting firm, In Demand Books, where they specialized in supporting publishers and authors.

Kemi Akeju Chavez has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marketing with a minor in Economics from the College of Business and Economics at California State University, Los Angeles. Kemi also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Marketing from Grand Canyon University.
