Ed Callan brings 35+ years in high-tech marketing, advising everyone from scrappy start-ups to industry giants such as Google, DocuSign, SAP, IDC, Grammarly, and Amazon. Since 2000 he has led Callan Consulting, tackling hundreds of strategic marketing projects that sharpen positioning, guide go-to-market moves, and fuel growth.
Prior to founding Callan Consulting, Ed was VP of Global Marketing at Intershop, where he rebranded the company, launched its flagship enfinity platform, and helped boost revenue from under $20 million to roughly $100 million while guiding a 100-person, $30 million marketing organization. Before that, as VP of Marketing for SBC (later AT&T) Internet Services, he helped build Pacific Bell Internet from scratch to a $60 million, 300 000-subscriber business. Ed’s grounding in market analysis came at Dataquest, where he delivered 50+ consulting engagements, and his tech roots trace back to a first job as a software engineer at Silicon Valley start-up Silma.
Ed earned an MBA from Wharton (Dean’s List, marketing major) and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, with honors, from UC Berkeley. Outside the office you’ll likely find him traveling, hosting friends, or experimenting in the kitchen alongside his wife and their two daughters.
