Rizaan Jappie

Rizaan Jappie has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Rizaan started their career as a Software Engineer at Korbitec in 2005 and worked there until 2007. At Korbitec, they gained experience in software development. In 2008, they joined Old Mutual Limited as a Senior Analyst Programmer. During their time at Old Mutual, Rizaan worked on various software projects, including public facing websites, intranet-based solutions, batch jobs, and databases. Rizaan also gained experience in software architecture, deployments, automation, and work and people management. After working at Old Mutual for over a decade, Rizaan joined Kurtosys Systems in 2020 as a Principal Software Engineer and Team Lead. In this role, they developed elementor/WordPress plug-ins using PHP, React, and JavaScript. Rizaan also took on people and work management tasks. Currently, Rizaan Jappie is working at Avenu as a Senior Software Engineer, which they joined in 2021.

From 1997 to 2000, Rizaan Jappie attended Port Elizabeth Technikon, where they pursued a National Diploma in Information Technology.
