Mary Lawler has extensive work experience in the non-profit and government sectors. Mary currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Avenue, a non-profit Community Housing Development Organization in Houston. In this role, they are responsible for managing the organization and its assets, overseeing housing development, providing counseling services to homebuyers, fundraising, and maintaining community relations. Prior to this, Mary served as the Executive Director at Avenue, where they fulfilled the duties of a chief operating officer and managed various projects and programs. Before joining Avenue, they worked as the Director of Facilities Planning and Development at the New York City Department of Homeless Services.
Mary Lawler attended Harvard Kennedy School from 1990 to 1992, where they obtained a Master's degree in Public Policy (MPP), specializing in Housing and Community Development.
