Hazel Shields

Hazel Shields is an experienced professional in substance abuse and addiction counseling, currently serving as a Residential Counselor at WellPower and an Addictions Specialist at CuraWest since September 2022. Hazel has held the position of CAS at Aurora Mental Health since January 2020 and previously worked as a Substance Use Evaluator and Counselor at Counselors On Call from February 2003 to June 2020. Additional experience includes a Counselor role at Denver Recovery Group from July 2015 to June 2016 and counseling at CEDAR from 2005 to 2007. Hazel holds a Bachelor of Science in Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling from Metropolitan State University, earned between 2000 and 2002.
