Pouya Kamalinejad, PhD

Pouya Kamalinejad, PhD, has a diverse work experience in technology and academia. Pouya currently serves as the CTO & VP-Technology at Avestec Technologies Inc. since September 2017. Prior to this role, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of British Columbia from September 2014 to October 2017. During their time at the university, they also served as a Graduate Research Assistant, Ph.D., where they focused on designing and verifying wireless power harvesting systems, sensor interface modules for biomedical implants, and analog-to-digital converters. Before their time at The University of British Columbia, Pouya was a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Tehran from September 2006 to August 2008.

Pouya began their academic journey in 2002 at the University of Tehran, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical Engineering - Electronics in 2006.
