Mariela Zambrano

Mariela Zambrano has extensive experience in the software development and engineering sectors, currently serving as R&D VP of Software Development and R&D VP of Asset Performance Management and Operations Execution at AVEVA since 2005. Previously, Mariela held the position of Development Program Manager at Wonderware, where involvement extends back to 1996. Prior roles include Functional Manager for Batch and SCADA products at Invensys Operations Management and Application Engineer providing pre-sales support in the Southern Hemisphere. Early career experience includes working as a Senior Process Engineer at Proyectos 9000, focused on the implementation of batch control systems. Mariela holds a degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Process Control from Universidad de Carabobo, earned between 1986 and 1992.
