Edmundas Vasonskis

Edmundas Vasonskis has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology and aviation. Edmundas began their career in 2005 as a Windows system administrator at Vilnius University. Edmundas then worked as an IT administrator and developer at Žvilgsnis iš arčiau (now Sergel) from 2006 to 2007. Edmundas also served as an IT administrator at BPC Travel during this time. In 2007, they became the head of the Information Technologies Department at Etalinkas, UAB, where they managed the IT department until 2009. From 2009 to 2012, Edmundas worked as an IT manager at Small Planet Airlines. Edmundas then served as the head of information technologies at Vertas Management, overseeing IT and project management activities for various group companies in the aviation, agriculture, and real estate sectors. Additionally, they became a shareholder at Locatory.com in 2011. In 2012, Edmundas joined Avia Solutions Group as the CIO, responsible for providing aviation services and solutions globally. Edmundas co-founded the Lietuvos IT vadovų klubas | CIO.LT in 2015 and served as a member. Edmundas also worked as a Business Development Manager at Sensus Aero from 2015 to 2019. Overall, they have extensive experience in IT management, aviation, and business development.

Edmundas Vasonskis obtained a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from Vilnius University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in various fields, including Introduction to Cybersecurity from Cisco in 2020, PRINCE2® Practitioner certificate in Project Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2016, and ITIL® Intermediate certificates in IT Service Strategy and IT Service Operation from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2016. Other certifications include ITIL® Foundation from Pearson VUE in 2015, PRINCE2® Foundation Certificate from PEOPLECERT in 2014, COBIT5 Foundation from APMG-International in 2014, ICAgile Certified Professional from ICAgile in 2014, and Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Server Administrator from IT ProTraining in 2008.
