Desiree Waunn

Desiree Waunn is the SVP of Talent at AVIA where she oversees the talent strategy and execution. Since 2018, Desiree has contributed to AVIA’s growth significantly by leading the recruitment efforts. Her in-depth knowledge of the operational aspects of professional services contributes to her ability to partner with teams across the organization to design the strategies behind recruiting, team relations, and performance management.

Prior to joining AVIA, she served as the President of Dearborn Advisors, LLC, where she helped develop the rapidly growing firm’s infrastructure and HR function. She managed a cross-functional team of individuals in the professional services, physician services, service lines, accounting, marketing, IT, and HR functional areas.

Desiree holds a Master’s degree in Labor and Employment Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
