Pedro Anzola

Pedro Anzola has extensive work experience in tax and legal roles. Pedro currently serves as the Head of Tax at Avianca since November 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Manager of International Tax & Legal at PwC Interaméricas from June 2019 to October 2020. Pedro also held the position of Regional Tax Manager at Telefónica from February 2016 to May 2019. Pedro worked as an International Tax Manager at PwC Interaméricas from February 2013 to January 2016, and as an Associate in the International Tax Department at PwC España from November 2007 to January 2013. Pedro started their career as a Lawyer at Rodriguez & Mendoza in Caracas, Venezuela from October 2002 to June 2005, where they conducted legal research and drafted tax opinions for oil companies.

Pedro Anzola has a strong education background in law and legal studies. Pedro obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Universidad de Alcalá de Henares in 2010 and a Juris Doctor degree from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello between 2000 and 2005. Pedro further pursued their education by completing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Law and Legal Studies at Tulane University Law School in 2006-2007. Pedro also has a specialization in Maritime Studies, earning an LLM from the University of Southampton in 2006-2007. In terms of certifications, they obtained an Advanced Professional Certificate in International Taxation from IBFD in 2020 and the New York BAR qualification in 2013.
