Shane Stone

Shane Stone has extensive experience in the field of chemistry research and development. Shane is currently the Head of Chemistry Research and Development at Avicena Systems starting from June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Advisor at Chrysalis Advisory from June 2021 to June 2022. Shane also has experience as a Science Consulting/Researcher while being self-employed from April 2020 to June 2022. Additionally, they served as a Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia from August 2021 to November 2021. Shane worked as a Group Leader at PYC Therapeutics from April 2019 to April 2020. Shane Stone also has a background working at Phylogica where they held various roles including Group Leader - Phage Engineering from June 2017 to August 2019, Principal Scientist from January 2017 to May 2017, and Senior Scientist - Structural Biology and Modelling from May 2008 to December 2016. Furthermore, they worked as a Project Manager at Telethon Kids Institute, Drug Discovery Unit from December 2014 to March 2019. Earlier in their career, they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Cape Town from October 2006 to November 2007.
