Y'Desha Alsup

Y'Desha Alsup is a K-12 Program Manager for the Eastern Division at AVID, with a tenure beginning in August 2013. Previous experience includes serving as the AVID District Director and Instructional Staff Developer at Pinellas County Schools from June 2012 to August 2013, and as an Educator at Florida Virtual School from January 2009 to June 2012, where responsibilities included English instruction and virtual teaching. Y'Desha also held the position of Elementary Principal Intern at Conley Elementary within Leon County Schools from December 2011 to May 2012, and worked as an AVID, English, and Journalism Instructor in high school at Pinellas County Schools from January 2006 to January 2009. Y'Desha is pursuing a PhD in Educational Leadership and Administration at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, having previously earned a Master of Education, a Master of Applied Social Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from the same institution.
