Merete Gillund

Merete Gillund has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Merete started their career in 1993 as a system developer at Dovre Informasjonssystemer. Merete then worked as a system consultant at Visma and consultant at Europay Norge AS. In 2004, they joined SEB Kort as a department leader. In 2008, they joined Bank Norwegian as the CIO and held that position until 2020. During their time at Bank Norwegian, they also held roles such as Head of New Markets, Head of Innovation and Strategic Projects, and Branch Manager. After leaving Bank Norwegian, they worked at NOBA Bank Group as the Branch Manager and Head of Innovation & Strategic Projects. Currently, they are the Head of Strategy and New Business at Avida Finans AB.

Merete Gillund attended the University of Stavanger from 1988 to 1993, where they pursued an unspecified degree. In 2002, they briefly studied at the BI Norwegian Business School, focusing on project management.
