Rich Cote

Rich Cote is the Co-Founder and President of Avidien Technologies. Rich has over 25 years of experience in the field of research and development and has created numerous innovative products that are used in laboratories around the world.

Rich began their career as an engineer with Corning Incorporated in July 1993. Rich quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to Engineering Manager of Advanced Life Science Products in 1999. In this role, they were responsible for developing a portfolio of innovative and useful instruments and consumables that are still used by researchers today.

In December 1999, Rich joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as a New Product Development Engineer. During their tenure at Matrix Technologies / Thermo Fisher Scientific, they created numerous innovative liquid handling products and accessories that continue to be used in R&D labs around the world today.

In March 2005, Rich founded Viaflo Corporation and served as its Vice President of Research and Development. Under their leadership, the company’s team of engineers created innovative laboratory instruments and consumables. Rich successfully ran Viaflo Corporation until July 2009 when they co-founded Avidien Technologies.

Rich Cote has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.
