Lisa Brockman

Lisa Brockman has a comprehensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Lisa is currently serving as the Vice President of Finance at Avidity Biosciences, Inc. since September 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Board of Directors at the Design Institute of San Diego starting from May 2019.

In November 2019, Lisa joined Mitchell International as the Senior Vice President of Accounting and Corporate Controller, where they served until September 2022. Before that, they worked as the Senior Director of Finance at Prometheus Laboratories Inc., a Nestlé Health Science Company, from September 2013 to March 2019.

Lisa has also held leadership positions at Sequenom (Senior Director, Controller - Technical Accounting Expert, SEC Reporting, Compliance) from October 2012 to September 2013, and NuVasive (VP of Accounting - Technical Expert, Due Diligence, Acquisitions, Financial Reporting, Audits, SOX) from July 2005 to June 2009.

Prior to their roles in the life sciences industry, Lisa worked at Synopsys Inc as the Assistant Corporate Controller, Director of Financial Reporting, Research, and M&A from January 2001 to April 2005. Lisa began their career at EY, where they worked as a Senior Manager, specializing in public company audits, business advisory, startups, tech, and biotech, from 1988 to 2000.

In addition to their professional experience, Lisa also took a voluntary sabbatical from career life between June 2009 and September 2012 to pursue their passion for photography and exploring different cultures of the world.

Lisa Brockman attended San Diego State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting. Additionally, they hold certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of California, although their certification is currently inactive.
