Sean Connor

Sean Connor is an experienced professional in the field of unmanned systems and aviation. Sean started their career in 2009 as a UAS Policy Analyst at Lockheed Martin, where they worked on developing new UAS programs and safety management efforts. Sean then joined Pragmatics, Inc. in 2011 as a UAS Policy Analyst, where they supported UAS policy analysis and developed Safety Risk Management analysis. In 2015, Sean joined SkyWard IO as a Professional Services Specialist, where they played a key role in obtaining FAA authorization for commercial drone operators. Sean also worked at AirMap as a Public Policy Manager, where they were responsible for advancing the commercial interests of the drone industry through policy innovation and engagement with government agencies. Sean joined Discover Technology International, Inc. in 2015 as the Director of Advanced Technology & Unmanned Systems and became a known industry leader in the certification and strategic development of avionics and unmanned aircraft programs. Sean then served as the Business Development Lead at MissionGO, Inc. from 2021 to 2022. Currently, Sean is the Practice Director for Medical Services at DroneUp and will be joining Avidrone Aerospace Incorporated as the Director of Strategic Partnerships in 2023.

Sean Connor attended the University of Maryland from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics. Sean also has additional certifications including Drone Flight Essentials - Unmanned Aerial Qualification from Consortiq and FAA Part 107 Certificate sUAS Rating from the Federal Aviation Administration, obtained in 2018 and 2017 respectively.
