Rob Phocas

Rob Phocas is an accomplished professional in the fields of environmental law and corporate social responsibility. As the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at AvidXchange, Inc. since July 2019, Rob has led initiatives focused on community engagement and environmental sustainability, notably overseeing the Tech Rising project aimed at bridging the digital divide. Previously, Rob served as the Director of Sustainability for the City of Charlotte from 2006 to 2019, where significant achievements included the development of the city's first Strategic Energy Action Plan and participation in the Bloomberg American Cities Climate Challenge. Rob's legal career also includes roles as an attorney with the US EPA and various law firms, complemented by a strong educational background with degrees from Duke University in law and environmental economics, as well as a BA in History from Vassar College.
