Spencer Payne

Spencer Payne began their career in 2008 as a Sales/Service employee at City Bike Shop. Spencer then moved to McLain Cycle & Fitness in 2009, where they worked as a Bicycle Mechanic, assembling bicycles, professionally tuning shifting, brakes, wheels, and bearings, and scheduling and performing repairs. In 2013, Payne joined Avidyne as a Mechanical Engineer, creating and updating engineering part and assembly drawings, incorporating design changes into CAD part models and assemblies, and working with a team of engineers to design and improve mechanical parts. Spencer also worked as a System Test Engineer and a System Engineer Intern, developing programs to test avionics software, interpreting and implementing software requirements into Visual Basic test scripts, and investigating and fixing software and test library bugs.

Spencer Payne received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University between 2006 and 2010. During this time, they also earned an A.A.S. in Aviation Flight from Northwestern Michigan College between 2007 and 2011.
