John Avila

John Avila is the founder and principal of Avila Creative, Inc., a Chicago-based design firm established in June 2011, specializing in strategic design and consultation for diverse clients. With extensive experience in advertising, branding, and corporate communications, John previously served as U.S. Design Director and Senior Vice President at Edelman from 1993 to 2011, where contributions included building the agency's first design group. Additional roles include Senior Designer at Ligature, Inc. and Designer at the American Dental Association, where key projects involved innovative educational materials and cohesive print campaigns. John's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
