Tamara Elias

Tamara Elias is a director at Avinger and a member of the Women Business Leaders of the US Health Care Industry Foundation. Tamara has also held the position of VP, Head of Global Partnerships & Innovation at Merck.

Tamara Elias has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Tamara began their career as a research scientist and has since held various positions in commercial partnerships, innovation, and business development.

In their current role as director at Avinger, Tamara is responsible for leading the company’s global commercial partnerships and driving key business priorities. Tamara is also a member of the Women Business Leaders of the US Health Care Industry Foundation, where they help connect and convene senior executive women in health care to create meaningful cross-sector relationships, advance their careers, and harness their collective power to improve the industry.

Tamara Elias has a M.D. from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a B.A. in Biology and Anthropology from Yale University. Tamara also has certification from Coursera in Effective Problem-Solving and Decision-Making.
