Michael Tanner has over 20 years of experience in the field of security, with a particular focus on industrial security. Michael has worked for various companies in roles such as Senior Security Manager, Facility Security Officer, and Industrial Security Consultant.

In their most recent role at Oasis Systems LLC, Michael was responsible for managing the National Industrial Security Program and other security aspects of classified contracting for the company's DOD and Cyber Divisions. Michael also provided guidance on Personnel Security clearances and worked with the company's ITAR program as a certified Empowered Official.

Michael Tanner earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with Honors in Security Management from American Military University, which they attended from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications, including the Basic Industrial Security for the Government Security Specialist and Facility Security Officer Program Management for Possessing Facilities from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) in November 2014. Michael also earned the Loss Prevention Qualified (LPQ) certification from The Loss Prevention Foundation in November 2014. In June 2015, Michael obtained the Industrial Security Oversight Certification (ISOC) from the DCSA, and in December 2014, they earned the Physical Security Certification (PSC) from the same institution. Michael also holds the Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) and the Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), both obtained from the DCSA in July 2015 and March 2015, respectively.
