Mike Merritt

Mike Merritt is a seasoned City Manager with extensive experience in the car rental industry, currently overseeing a fleet of 3,500 vehicles at Avis Budget Group since August 1984. In this role, Mike generated $35 million in revenue while managing 145 employees across 34 locations in Indiana, with a focus on customer service, quality levels, ancillary revenue sales, and market share for the Indianapolis Airport. Previous positions include City Manager in Dayton, Ohio, as well as District Manager in Chicago Downtown. Earlier in Mike's career, the role of Assistant City Manager was held at Hertz Corp. Mike Merritt earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University between 1977 and 1979.
