Peter Radu

Peter Radu is an experienced public policy professional with a strong focus on homelessness and community services. Currently serving as the Assistant to the City Manager for Neighborhood Services in the City of Berkeley, Radu oversees a $9 million division encompassing various units, including the Homeless Response Team and Code Enforcement, while managing multiple citizen commissions. Previous roles include Interim Deputy Director for the Department of Health, Housing, and Community Services in Berkeley and Homeless Policy Director for the City of Oakland, where Radu developed equitable policy solutions for homelessness. With a Master's Degree in Public Policy and Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Stanford University, Radu brings a blend of analytical and practical experience from positions across multiple organizations focused on housing and mental health services.
