Rebecca McCallan

Rebecca McCallan has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Rebecca began their career as a Junior Developer at Probase Limited, where they designed databases and user interfaces for businesses. Rebecca then joined Visa Europe as a Higher IT Apprentice, gaining experience in software requirements, development, test, application support, and service implementation. Rebecca later transitioned to the role of Software Engineer at Visa Europe, where they also served as a technical lead for a major project and gained knowledge in Hadoop and big data technologies. Following their time at Visa Europe, Rebecca worked as a Technical License Specialist at Micro Focus, focusing on project management, customer expectations management, negotiation, risk analysis, data analysis, and compliance. Currently, they are serving as the Engineering Director at Avis Budget Group, where they have previously held positions as Engineering Manager, Head of Application Support Services, and Technical Lead (Mobile).

Rebecca McCallan obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Computing and IT from The Open University, where they studied from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended The Sixth Form College Farnborough from 2008 to 2010, and Garth Hill College from 2003 to 2008. Rebecca also holds certifications including the Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), ISTQB-BCS Certified Tester Foundation Level, and ITIL - V3 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.
