Debbie Yau

Debbie Yau has extensive experience in software engineering and technology leadership roles. Debbie is currently the Vice President of Software Engineering at Aviso Wealth. Prior to this, they worked at Scotiabank as the Director of Global Technology Products and held various director roles in Group Treasury and Compliance and Application Development. Before joining Scotiabank, Debbie worked at TD Bank Group as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Senior Risk Manager, where they managed large teams and portfolios and implemented risk management strategies aligned with regulatory requirements. Debbie also has experience at Algorithmics as a Senior Product Manager and at Microsoft as a Program Manager in the Mobile Devices Division. Debbie has a strong background in product development, strategy, and regulatory compliance.

Debbie Yau holds a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo. In 2007, they obtained the Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) certification from Professional Engineers Ontario. Additionally, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2008.
