Jorge Esteban Montoya Cano

Jorge Esteban Montoya Cano has a diverse work experience. Jorge Esteban is currently working as the Chief Innovation & Digital Transformation Officer at Avista, where they are responsible for implementing digital financial products for institutional payroll and public pensioners. Jorge Esteban has defined the digital roadmap for payroll products and implemented a cloud-based digital underwriting process.

Prior to Avista, Jorge was the Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer at DOC-IA from June 2019 to March 2020.

Before that, Jorge worked at Bancolombia in various roles. As an IT Manager - Innovation Architecture, they implemented the architecture innovation strategy and the open-source program for the company. Jorge Esteban also implemented the Techlab to accelerate the adoption of new cloud-based technologies. In their role as an Enterprise Architect - Cloud & Artificial Intelligence, Jorge was awarded for their work in combining machine learning models and cloud services for fraud detection. Jorge Esteban also led the definitions and implementations for the R&D architecture in multi-cloud environments. Additionally, they worked as an R&D Innovation Architect and a QA Lead for the change of core banking systems, where they were involved in core banking implementation and automation projects.

Jorge also has experience as a QA Engineer and has worked as a Researcher and Assistant Professor at Universidad EAFIT.

Jorge Esteban Montoya Cano has an extensive education history. Jorge Esteban obtained their Bachelor of Science in Production Engineering from Universidad EAFIT in 2014. Following that, they pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Systems Engineering from the same institution, completing it in 2016.
