Alex Reed

Alex Reed's work experience includes roles such as Chief Information Officer at Avita Health System, where they led the implementation of Epic's Community Connect System across a multi IDN health system and implemented the system for over 120 multi-specialty physicians and advanced practice providers. Alex also led organizational efforts in selecting a new ERP system. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Information Services at Avita Health System, overseeing the implementation of the Community Connect System for a new hospital and managing the Biomedical Engineering Department. Alex was also responsible for developing and implementing an $8 million budget for the organization's information services needs. Before joining Avita Health System, Alex Reed worked as a Network/Security Administrator, managing the installation and administration of wireless LAN, telecommunication bills, and contracts. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Network Analyst at Galion Community Hospital, where they performed organization-wide upgrades and provided end-user support, and as an Information Technology Intern at Consolidated Electric Cooperative, providing user support and assisting with facility relocation.

Alex Reed completed an Associate Degree in Applied Business with a focus in Computer Networking from Marion Technical College in 2000-2002. In 2009-2011, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Later, in 2016-2017, they earned a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration from Franklin University. Additionally, they obtained certifications in CCNA and CCNA Security from Cisco Systems in 2006 and 2009 respectively.
