Rafik Mattar

Rafik Mattar has extensive work experience in the healthcare compliance field. Rafik started their career at Kidney Center Inc. as a Sr. Clinical Study Coordinator from February 1997 to January 1999. Rafik then joined Amgen, where they held various roles including Compliance Senior Manager, Senior Manager of Clinical Research Services, Clinical Supply Chain Liaison III, Healthcare Compliance Director for the Medical Organization, Healthcare Compliance Director for the Oncology Business Unit, and Healthcare Compliance Director for the Inflammation Business Unit. As a healthcare compliance lead, they provided expert guidance, developed training programs, and supported senior executives, marketing teams, sales representatives, and Medical Affairs in the respective therapeutic areas. In June 2023, they joined AVITA Medical as the VP of Corporate Compliance.

Rafik Mattar completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology at UC Santa Barbara from 1996 to 1998. Rafik then pursued an MBA in Global Business Management at the University of Phoenix from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, they obtained certification as a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional from the Healthcare Compliance Association.
