Marton Varady

Sr Product Development Engineer at Avitus Orthopaedics

Marton Varady has a wealth of experience in product development and engineering. Marton began their career in 2008 as a Project Manager at Dielectrics Inc, where they carried out process validations for projects transitioning from R&D to full scale manufacturing, assembled and reviewed quotes for potential clients, and wrote and refined manufacturing assembly and inspection instructions to optimize the processes. In 2012, they moved to Jhpiego as a Project Engineer, where they developed the CryoPop from a proof-of-concept prototype to a clinical trial device, currently in progress in the Philippines. Marton also established and performed evaluations of the device in various stages of development in both bench and usability settings, and implemented a documentation system to track the prototypes built and tests executed. In 2017, they joined Boston Scientific as a Principal R&D Engineer Endoscopy and more recently, in 2021, they became a Sr Product Development Engineer at Avitus Orthopaedics.

Marton Varady received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2008. Marton then went on to earn a Master of Science in Engineering in Bioengineering Innovation and Design from Johns Hopkins University in 2012.
