Nigel Finlay

Nigel Finlay is a highly experienced actuarial professional with extensive expertise in the insurance sector, currently serving as G.I. Head of Actuarial Function and Head of GI Economic Capital at Aviva International Insurance since August 2022. Prior roles include Chief Actuary for Aviva Ireland from November 2019 to August 2022 and Chief Actuary at CHARLES TAYLOR MANAGING AGENCY LIMITED from November 2017 to October 2019. Nigel has also held positions such as Head of Non-Life Consulting at Milliman Dublin and was self-employed providing bespoke actuarial advice. Nigel's career began in 1989 at Mercer as an Actuarial Consultant, and significant past roles include Chief Actuary for Property/Casualty Operations at General Reinsurance Corp and Corporate Actuary at DP Mann Syndicate at Lloyd's. Education was completed at Trinity College Dublin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics.
