Suresh Weerasinghe

Suresh Weerasinghe currently serves as the Head of UK Growth and Investments within Group Public Affairs at Aviva, a position held since May 2018, where responsibilities include leading a team focused on public affairs engagement related to investment activities and regional policy priorities in the UK. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Lawyer at HM Treasury, where involvement in the EU Withdrawal Agreement Negotiating Team occurred, and at the Attorney General's Office, providing legal advice on sensitive government matters. Earlier roles at the Department for Work and Pensions and the Ministry of Business Innovation & Employment involved legislative advising and operational policy work. Suresh holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Victoria University of Wellington.
