Khurram Khani has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Khurram is currently the Head of Customer Success at Aviz Networks since February 2023. Before that, Khurram worked at Ivanti from December 2020 to February 2023, where they held the position of Senior Director of Quality Engineering, following the acquisition of MobileIron by Ivanti. At MobileIron, they served as the Senior Director of Cloud Security and Zero Trust Quality Engineering from September 2019 to December 2020.
Prior to that, Khurram worked at Akamai Technologies from November 2016 to September 2019 as the Director of Cloud Security DevOps, Test Engineering, and Customer Escalation. Khurram joined Akamai through the acquisition of Soha Systems, Inc., where they held the role of Senior Director of Cloud Security Test/Engineering and Enterprise Access Engineering from October 2014 to September 2019.
Earlier in their career, Khurram worked at IBM as the Director of Software Test for SDN & NFV in the IBM Cloud Networking division from January 2014 to October 2014. Khurram also served as the Director of Software Test for IBM's System Networking division from November 2010 to October 2014.
Before joining IBM, Khurram worked at Blade Network Technologies as the Director of Software Test from January 2009 to April 2011, where they played a vital role in the company's acquisition by IBM. Khurram started their career at Nortel Networks in 2001, joining through the acquisition of Alteon WebSystems. At Nortel, Khurram held the position of Senior Manager of Software Test from April 2001 to December 2008.
Additionally, Khurram worked briefly at Alteon WebSystems as a Technical Lead for Layer 4-7 Web Application Delivery from June 2000 to June 2001 and as a Consultant for Strategic Network Services at Cisco Systems from February 2000 to June 2000.
Khurram Khani pursued their education in a systematic manner, first completing their Bachelor's of Engineering in Computer Systems from NED University of Engineering and Technology. This course of study took place from 1992 to 1997. Following this, Khurram pursued further specialization in the field of software engineering by obtaining a Master's of Science degree from San Jose State University. This degree program lasted from 2000 to 2003.
