James Carmillet

James Carmillet serves as the Vice President of Client Solutions & Proposals at AVK-SEG since September 2025. Prior to this role, James held significant positions at Business Critical Solutions (BCS) from April 2021 to September 2025, initially as Director of Cost Management, where responsibilities included the expansion of the Cost Management service across Europe, growing the team from 5 to over 65 members, and establishing a high-performing function vital to the company's success. Previously, James acted as Head of Cost Management at Currie & Brown from July 2016 to April 2021, managing a key account that generated a substantial portion of the business unit’s revenue. Early career experiences include roles as an M&E Cost Consultant at Mace, and as an M&E Quantity Surveyor/Estimator at Delron Services Ltd. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Quantity Surveying from London South Bank University and a BSc (Hons) in Crime Scene Science from Teesside University.
