Mario Herrera Rifo

Mario Herrera Rifo has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Mario is currently serving as the Corporate COO & CIO at AVLA since February 2021 and previously held the position of Corporate CTO from February 2020 to January 2021. Prior to AVLA, they worked as an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Associate Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile starting from January 2012. Before that, Mario worked as a Subgerente Canales digitales at Banco BICE from January 2019 to January 2020. Mario also served as an Omnichannel Product Owner at Falabella Financiero from July 2014 to December 2018, where they had a regional role focusing on various aspects including omnichannel, digital transformation, business process automation, and analytics across multiple countries. Mario began their career as an Industrial and Systems Engineering Associate Professor and Workflow / BPM Project Manager at Universidad Andres Bello from June 2010 to December 2017. Prior to that, they were the CEO and Founder of Solfix LTDA from January 2010 to June 2014. Mario's earlier role was as an IT & Business Process Analyst at Masisa from January 2008 to December 2009.

Mario Herrera Rifo has a diverse educational background with a focus on technology and project management. Mario started their education journey at the Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria, where they pursued a degree in Ingeniería Civil with a specialization in Computer Science and Systems Management. Mario completed their undergraduate studies from 2002 to 2008.

In 2009, they undertook a Postitulo en gestión informática at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
