Director Of Materials at Avo Photonics

Khoa Van has a diverse work experience in the fields of materials science and engineering. Khoa began their career as a Research Intern at Bosch Rexroth in 2013, where they contributed to ongoing studies on acid dew point corrosion and conducted experiments on vapor-liquid equilibrium. Following this, they joined Drexel University as a Research Assistant in 2011, where they successfully designed and executed experiments to improve the efficiency of thin absorber solar photovoltaics and optimized synthesis and deposition of nanowire and thin film solar cells.

In 2015, Khoa Van joined Avo Photonics, where they held multiple roles. Khoa started as a Process Engineer, responsible for optimizing processes in semiconductor production. Later, they became a Product Manager, overseeing the lifecycle of new products and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Currently, Khoa Van holds the position of Director of Materials at Avo Photonics, leading material-related projects and strategies.

Khoa Van, MS, MBA, holds an Executive MBA from the Penn State Smeal MBA Program, which they completed between 2019 and 2021. Prior to this, they obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University, graduating in 2014.
