Shyam Sunder

Shyam Sunder is a Mechanical Engineer currently employed at Avo Photonics since March 2022. Prior experience includes serving as an Aerospace Systems Engineer at Belcan from March 2019 to April 2020, where responsibilities involved integration engineering for the air management system on the Mitsubishi Regional Jet, alongside conducting tests for environmental control, wing anti-ice, and fuel tank inerting systems. Shyam's background also includes an internship at Sandia National Laboratories as an Electromechanical Engineering Intern, focusing on testing and characterizing mechanical components for the B61-12 Trajectory Stronglink, and a co-op position at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where a thermal model was developed for the Curiosity rover's engineering cameras. Shyam earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Physics from Cornell University, graduating cum laude in 2015, and completed high school at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School in 2011.
