Glenn Wastyn

Glenn Wastyn is currently the VP EMEA at Avocor. Glenn has previously served as Business Director Architectural at Barco from August 2004 to August 2008, and as CEO & co-founder of Globevents from January 1995 to December 2002.

Wastyn has over 25 years of experience in the travel industry. Glenn began their career in 1995 as the CEO & co-founder of Globevents. Glenn then spent four years as the Business Director Architectural at Barco before joining BCD Travel as the VP Commercial Belux in 2008. Glenn led the Belgian-Luxemburg region through the financial crisis while overseeing negotiations for the Divisional Leadership team for SW Europe. In 2011, they transformed commercial service model to an unbundled value-based model.

Wastyn is an expert in supplier negotiations, having successfully managed 1.1 billion euros in supplier negotiations with 3.2 million transactions from 80 locations. Glenn is a proven leader in times of crisis and transformation, and has demonstrated their ability to adapt to changing markets and needs.

Glenn Wastyn has a wide range of educational experiences, from being a certified Ironman coach to having a master's degree in applied economic sciences. Glenn has also attended the Leicester Conference and the Tavistock Institute, both in the field of organisational psychology. Additionally, they have done business in China through the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
