Mark O'Neill

SVP Technical - P2f, Supply Chain & Asset Solutions at Avolon

Mark O'Neill has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Mark began their career as an Engineer at IRISH HELICOPTERS LIMITED, where they performed line and base maintenance on various helicopters. Mark then moved to Airbus Helicopters, where they worked as an Engineer and Technical Representative, providing technical support to customers in Russia and CIS countries.

After that, O'Neill joined EirTrade Aviation Ireland Limited as a Technical Sales Manager, responsible for generating new business and managing customer accounts. Mark later became the Head of Airframe Sales and Purchasing, where they managed the sales team and handled the purchase of new materials and assets.

Most recently, O'Neill has been working at Avolon. Initially, they served as the Fleet Engineering and Materials Manager, overseeing material and engineering management, developing aircraft programs, and managing relationships with stakeholders. Mark then took on roles as VP Technical - Fleet Engineering & Materials, SVP Technical - Projects, and their current position as SVP Technical - Supply Chain & Asset Solutions. In these roles, O'Neill has been responsible for procurement, management, and oversight of various projects and programs, including the A330 P2F program in collaboration with IAI. Mark has also played a key role in lease negotiations and contract management.

Mark O'Neill attended Technological University Dublin from 2006 to 2010, where they studied Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology/Technician. In 2013, they received a type rating for the EC225 aircraft from Airbus and the Arriel 1 Engine Family from Turbomecca. In 2014, they obtained a type rating for the EC145 aircraft from Airbus and the Maklia 2A1 Engine from Turbomecca. In 2016, Mark completed a Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance from the Law Society of Ireland. Mark further enhanced their knowledge in the field of aeronautics by completing a Diploma in Part 21 Design from Atlantic Aviation in 2019. Mark's education also includes an unspecified period at Terenure college, although the specific details such as start and end dates are not provided.
